Located near Jugiong, NSW, Kambah Poll Merino is a family-run farm that's making waves in the world of merino breeding. Led by Dean Bourlet and his family, the farm is known for its high-quality Poll Merino rams and a deep-rooted passion for the land and livestock.

Dean Bourlet has had a diverse career, from being a shearer to running his own livestock marketing business. His journey culminated in taking over Kambah Poll Merino, and he’s been putting his extensive industry knowledge to work ever since. The farm's new chapter, under Dean’s leadership, aims to bring fresh energy and a modern approach to merino breeding.

Since taking over from Glen Oxford, who built the stud’s solid reputation over two decades, Dean and his team have been focused on breeding high-indexing, profitable, and well-balanced rams. They’re committed to blending traditional methods with the latest in data collection and genetic selection to keep Kambah at the forefront of the industry.

Kambah Poll Merino is known for its fine micron, mules-free rams that are performing exceptionally well on industry indexing figures. This focus on high-quality fleece and adaptability to modern practices ensures that their rams are both productive and in demand.

Right now, the Kambah Blue Tag stud ewe lambs are gearing up for lambing in just two weeks. These 13-month-old ewes have impressive wool stats, with an average micron of 16.8 and some as low as 13.5. They’re mules-free, offer a heavy wool cut, and are known for being dag-free.
